Der Workshop wird in kollaborativ von Moritz Haberkorn und Stefan Maier abgehalten:
Moritz Haberkorn (b. 1991, AT) is an musician and artist currently residing in Vienna, Austria. In his works he explores non-linear musical systems through improvisational immediacy and playful spontanity, unraveling their idiosyncrasies and self-organizing properties. He is interested in the artifacts, overtones, interactions, and hidden sonic qualities of sounds that are revaled when subjected to high gain distortion and heavy processesing. He works solo, aswell as in different formations, ranging from free improvisation, extreme metal, and avant-rock, to experimental electronics.
Stefan Maier (b. 1994, AUT) is a Vienna-based new media artist with a background in architecture. Currently, he holds a research position at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. In his work he explores how technology could alter our sensual perception and the way we engage with each-’other’. He tries to challenge the interplay between physical and digital realms. Seeking a non-binary understanding of the two, he explores the materiality of the (im-)material, intertwining human and environmental needs, natural entities, histories, and fictions. His body of work reaches from mixed-reality drawings and sculptures, physical installations to screenings as well as interactive experiences.
